Want to learn to sew in a fun and sociable setting?

Kitchen Table Sewing classes are small (6 people) and friendly. They take in the evenings, 8 - 10 pm, at my home in Bedford. A four week course includes the use of one of my sewing machines, and, plenty of tea and yummy home made cake to fuel your sewing adventures. For clothing courses, you will need to come to the course with your own copy of the pattern we are following, and pre-washed fabric ready to go. Full details of what you need to bring on each course are available on request - but will be sent to you when you book a place.

COMPLETE BEGINNERS' SEWING COURSES

The popular Complete Beginners' Course is back. Learn how to use a sewing machine and come away with some lovely completed projects you'll be proud to show off. 

Unlike other courses, everything you need is provided. Here's a list of the projects you can expect to come away with:

- a cushion cover (with or without applique, depending on experience)
- a large bag (with or without a zipped pocket, depending on experience)
- a framed purse or zipped make up bag 
- fourth project kit of your choice to take home

Don't worry if you've never even switched on a sewing machine before - this course is designed to get your confidence up so you can move on to sew all sorts of fun things. If you can already use a sewing machine but need a bit more experience before moving on to sew clothes, then this is also for you - there is plenty of scope to make the simple projects a bit more detailed - for example by teaching you how to add applique to the cushion, or by introducing a zip pocket to the bag.

Dig out those unfinished projects (it needn't be sewing - anything crafty goes) and make the most of some help on them, or, just turn up and eat cake and natter. Everyone is welcome.

The next Sewing Club is on Thursday 28th September, 7.30 pm at Fancy.

Courses are popular and places sometimes fill up very quickly (classes are small - only 5/6 people) once dates are released. To make things more convenient for you, all bookings are now taken online, via the nice and convenient and secure Paypal system.

If you cannot see a course listed when you click on the list of courses below, it means the course is full.

Please note that there are no refunds available if you do not attend a course or workshop. Refunds will only be offered on cancellations if the place can be filled before the start date, and this will be minus a £5 administration fee.
