I'm so excited about the prospect of meeting the baby. Maybe more so than the previous pregnancies... not that I'd admit that in front of the girls, of course. I'm enjoying getting plenty of sleep and having loads of time to myself whilst the littlest girl is at pre school.
Smug? Possibly, but I know my time will come soon enough. There is a good reason sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture, and when it hits, these big sunglasses will come in handy.
After a relaxing morning, I was unexpectedly treated to an equally relaxing afternoon. The littlest girl and I had lunch together, and then she took herself off to bed!
Knowing I'd pay for it later at bedtime (I did), I decided to let her sleep - and then made myself a cup of tea and took it to bed and put the radio on. I could be giving birth any day now, so I should conserve my energy, right?!
I did a spot of crocheting, and then, not remotely sleepy, took myself off downstairs and made this silk scarf. I used the same pattern and instructions as my birdie scarf - only, being lazy, I just traced the dimensions from the original scarf, so it was a lot quicker to make.
As you can see, I've used the leftover material from the frock, and coupled it with some tangerine coloured satin I bought with the scarf in mind.
A top tip (from my mum) if you do decide to make your own silk scarf is to use a nice fine ball point needle. Avoids all tension headaches, even if the material is still a slippery customer to work with.
Anyway, that's about it from me for now. I'm off to bed, wondering whether tonight it going to be the night baby decides to make an appearance...
Stunning scarf!! Keep up the resting my love. :-)
